FCA Students Receive Specialized Training in Air Traffic Management and Aviation Security at the Somali Civil Aviation Authority

MOGADISHU — A group of students from the Faculty of Civil Aviation at Mogadishu University took part in a specialized training program on Air Traffic Management and Aviation Security, held at the headquarters of the Somali Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA).

The training forms part of the Faculty’s continuing efforts to develop students’ knowledge, professional skills and practical experience in civil aviation. Sessions were delivered by experts and instructors from the Somali Civil Aviation Authority, who shared their expertise in Air Traffic Management (ATM) and Aviation Security (AVSEC) — two disciplines at the heart of safe and efficient air transport.

Through direct engagement with the professionals who manage and regulate the country’s airspace, students gained valuable insight into how the theory learned in the classroom is applied in day-to-day aviation operations.

Strengthening ties with the aviation sector

The Faculty of Civil Aviation will continue to strengthen its relationships with professional aviation institutions so that students gain meaningful knowledge and hands-on experience, and are well prepared for future careers in civil aviation.
